WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
THE WORSHIP HANDBOOK
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Marquis Ashley has served in full-time worship and pastoral ministry since 2004. He is passionate about small-group discipleship, raising up the next generation of worship musicians, strengthening ministry teams, and supporting church-planting. His deepest desire is to help people know Jesus, develop a biblical worldview, and live a life of worship—loving God, loving others, and making disciples.
Marquis studied biblical theology at Moody Bible Institute and Calvary Chapel Bible College. He has recorded and toured nationally, participated in 15 international mission trips, and continues to stay rooted in the local church.
Married since 2003, he and his wife have three wonderful kids who love the Lord and have served with them in worship, production, and kids ministry over the years. Marquis enjoys family walks, songwriting, recording, graphic design, carpentry, strategy board games, WWII movies, anything chocolate-peanut butter, and a good nap.
A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
The Worship Handbook was created as a resource to help shape and unite the heart of your ministry team. It is both spiritual and practical—a useful tool for team training with students and adults alike. Each chapter ends with reflection and discussion questions, so encourage your team to pick up a copy, read a chapter each week, and come together to pray and discuss. It’s a great way to grow in your relationship with God in community with others. May God bless you richly as you seek to know Him and make Him known, and as you live out your calling to: Love God, Love Others, and Make Disciples. You’re making a vital impact as you faithfully serve: The Lord, The Church, The Lost, The Team, and The Moment!
